@JohnkGK @isaacschade I don’t think I’d ever take that in a winner take all scenario. Knowing you have that in your back pocket changes everything in Game 6 as the road team for me.

@Wipps @isaacschade each team should get one home game in the Regional Final. and they should be able to choose Game 6 or Game 7. some teams might prefer Game 6 b/c they like the added pressure of being the "away" team in the do or die. but the 2-0 team should get the choice.

Ugggghhh. It just hit me...It's that time in the collegiate athletic calendar where we have one of the least sensible rules in all of sport: The Regional / Super Regional host isn't always the home team in the D1 Baseball NCAA Tournament.

@JohnkGK @isaacschade The two games in the regionals that the host team should NEVER be the away team is Saturday winners bracket or Game 7. Simple. They’ve earned that right.

@Wipps @isaacschade The way it should work: regionals/CWS: higher seed in the winners bracket. lower seed in losers. before regional final: 2-0 team picks game one or game two to be the home team. host should be home but if they lose they lose that right. Supers/champ series: 1-1-1 like it is now

@Wipps Some of it did, but not to the extent that it's every game like they said it would be. Here's how it went in last year's regional: • Fri (Holy Cross): Home • Sat (OU): Home • Sun (OU): Visitor • Mon (OU): Visitor Egregious to not be home team in winner-take-all game

@UNC_and_CFB @isaacschade I think Game 6 should be the only one if still allowed. It was always the Saturday winners game that made me crazy.

Chapel Hill: UNC, Tennessee, ECU, VCU. Feels like a very intriguing regional there, no cake walk for the No. 5 national seed Tar Heels. Volunteers went to Chapel Hill in 2019, and ECU is no stranger there, of course.

The Chapel Hill Regional is pretty interesting to me. @DiamondHeels leads the way, but Tennessee has shown signs of improvement down the stretch and ECU is hot right now. VCU is a great story.

@JordanFalls The problem is not getting length from DeCaro/Lynch. Really think that McDuffie needs to be the bridge for Jason if he doesn’t get thru 6 and save Glauber for Game 2. Then use Lynch and co. for a Game 3. I want Caden starting Saturdays game if UNC beats the 4 seed.

Concern for #UNC… Who do you turn to in game 3, winner take all in the post season? Boaz clearly isn’t it.
