What was your first impression when you played Descent by Parallax Software? Descent (1995) was an incredible game for its time, introducing a world-first feature: six degrees of freedom. People often talk about Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Quake, Half-Life, and Unreal when discussing 90s shooters, yet one game that introduced a truly novel concept is often overlooked among the classics. Remember, this was 1995 - nothing like it had been done before - and it came from an unknown developer (Parallax Software's first game), which makes it even more impressive.

If you wonder why a family needs two incomes to survive now, it is because the govt removed silver from the coins and removed the US dollar from the gold standard (1971).
