@halenhargreevs Not really a break, but I tried to beat Alatreon in MH Worlds for over a month. Mostly due to dumb restrictions I put on myself. I did do it eventually though. As for bosses where I said "imma come back later", Fume Knight in Dark Souls 2 was a big one.

Rebuttals to common responses to those objecting to Fansly being featured at OffKai: "They'll be in the adults only section/period of the con!" No, the original tweet (quoted below) says they'll be in the main exhibitor hall. Also, they aren't listed on the "Yabai Market" section of the OffKai site. "Fansly isn't just a porn site!" And Playboy has some decent journalistic articles. Come on, now, this is cope. At any rate, go to OffKai's home page right now and look at the "sponsored by" section near the bottom of the page. Note that among the dozens of sponsors listed, the only one whose logo isn't linked to their home page is Fansly's. Why do you think that is? "Anime cons have always had adult content vendors! OffKai already has other adult content vendors!" As I mentioned above, Fansly will *not* be in the “Yabai Market” part of the con; it will be in the main hall. Furthermore, a distinction should be made between Fansly’s product, which is largely flesh pornography, and the artistic (at least in the sense of “non-photographic”) works of fictional characters which will be featured in the Yabai Market. Which leads to the next point… “Oh, like kids are going to be traumatized by seeing a boobie! They’re all seeing this stuff already!” Okay, so to be making *this* point is conceding that Fansly *is* primarily a porn site, but that aside, yes, this argument is not wrong. The point is that to accept, recognize and even celebrate Fansly’s presence at a vtuber convention is basically conceding the outsider perspective that vtubing is inextricably connected to flesh porn and general perversion, and to normalize porn actresses basically using their vtuber persona to billboard for their porn site profiles instead of that being viewed as the exception and joke it once was. I worry about the day when outsiders not only see this as how the hobby and industry actually works, but then enter it under that assumption and behave accordingly. Perhaps that day has already come… and if it has, then that means that people who just want to let vtuber characters exist for their own sake without any link to flesh pornography are going to be marginalized and viewed as the bizarre exception rather than the rule. Is that what we want? It’s not what *I* want. I don’t want Fansly to be in the vtuber space, but if it must be, then it should be shunted into the Yabai Market with the other pornography. I know this is easier said than done because they’re probably throwing a bag at OffKai and we’re all trying to make some money, and there’s probably no putting this toothpaste back in the proverbial tube at least for this year. But this not only damages OffKai’s already tarnished reputation, it damages vtubing as a whole. Perhaps it’s time for those of us who love vtubing for what it was and what it should be move on from OffKai and let it fester.
