I said when it was announced than letting Mo State progress another level in athletics would make them think the school is something it’s not. A year later and we’re here. They are never going to be Mizzou or on our level no matter how hard they try or want it to be (a lot).

Missouri State folks would be wise to pump the brakes on this nonsense. Ask someone familiar with college sports in Arkansas what happened with Arky State when they went FBS. You will go from to a cute story to turning the whole state against you very quickly. Stay in your lane.

Last year state gained about 400 students while Mizzou gained about 500.

If Mizzou has lost or stayed near the same enrollment for 10 years and MSU has been going rapidly for 10 years consistently. And there now only a 6000 gap at most. That would imply very soon MO State will be bigger.

@WiseAlan55 I’m from nowhere near Columbia. Grew up loving Mizzou athletics. Didn’t attend Mizzou, still a lifelong fan. Tens of thousands of fans like me. That virtually does not exist for Missouri State & likely never will.

@mizeryindex That is very true soon Mizzou won’t be able to compete with MO State and that won’t change for a long time in athletics as well. I’m fine with that though both good schools good to switch it up once a century or so like it’s happening now.
