The biggest improvements to my class discussions came when I started encouraging (then requiring) students to cite each other in their essays 🥰 #listenactively They are re-learning that it’s not weakness to be impressed with each other. 🙌🏿

We took some time to put a fun spin on the mystery bags we’ve been doing in math. After cutting out pumpkins, each student got a mystery bag of seeds. Before gluing, Ss organized their seeds for counting. Saw some great strategies, including arrays! @Wishteaching @JessNastasi

Today, Ss played Roll and Record! After playing, we used @Google jamboard to show which number we rolled the most. We used this data to have a discussion about why some numbers were easier to roll than others! @JessNastasi @Wishteaching @jaime_maccarone @LRogolAP
