565 mètres de long. Eiffel a 47 ans.

Rep. Adam Smith's opening statement to Hegseth and Caine: "We're doing this on our own as we increasingly push away all our allies, sometimes just gratuitously insulting them. In the middle of this war where we're asking NATO to come join us, the president took time to insult President Macron and his wife. How is that helping us, to try to belittle everybody in the world?"

In November 1979, a group of Islamist students stormed the United States Embassy in Tehran, taking dozens of American diplomats hostage. Six Americans managed to escape into the city streets before being captured. They were taken in by Canadian diplomats Ken Taylor and John Sheardown, who sheltered them in their private homes at great personal risk for 79 days. The Canadian government quietly issued authentic Canadian passports to the six Americans, complete with forged Iranian visas prepared by the CIA. Two CIA exfiltration experts, Tony Mendez and Ed Johnson, flew to Tehran with an elaborate cover story. The six Americans would pose as a Canadian film crew scouting locations in Iran for a science fiction movie called Argo. To make the ruse convincing, a functioning production office was set up in Hollywood, ads were placed in industry trade magazines, and fake business cards were printed. On January 27, 1980, all eight members of the fake film crew passed through passport control at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport without incident. They boarded a Swissair flight to Zürich and were free. The Canadian embassy closed the same day, and Ambassador Taylor and his staff departed Iran. The six American diplomats arrived safely back in the United States on January 30, 1980. The CIA's full role in the operation remained classified until 1997. The 2012 film Argo, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture, was based on the operation, though critics noted it downplayed the crucial Canadian role. #drthehistories

@MOSSADil Good to remember Netanyahu funded the Hamas to weaken the Palestinian Authority... You get what you pay for. And that's no excuse for the IDF war crimes in Gaza.

🚨 14KM OF HAMAS TUNNELS DESTROYED & 70 TERRORIST ELIMINATED IDF forces have dismantled approximately 14 kilometers of underground tunnel networks in northern Gaza, primarily in the Beit Hanoun area. Inside the tunnels, troops uncovered living quarters and large weapons caches — further evidence of Hamas’ entrenched infrastructure. At the same time, around 70 terrorists were eliminated after violating the ceasefire and posing immediate threats to IDF forces. Stay connected, follow @MOSSADil.

NATO just dropped Boeing’s E-7 Wedgetail and is now seriously eyeing Saab’s GlobalEye instead. After the US pulled out over costs and survivability, the alliance canceled the big E-7 order. Germany is leaning hard toward the Bombardier Global 6000/6500 + GlobalEye combo, with Pistorius calling it “in pole position.” First time in ages NATO might go non-US for AWACS.
