Good question - a few words to answer🙏 From a demand side: machines keep getting cheaper and bigger while the data we generate grows exponentially, so the need for permanent storage doesn't really stop. From the incentive side: a node's capacity is dynamic, data moves, repairs and re-spreads, and space frees up, so even a node already holding persistent data keeps qualifying for, and being paid by, new uploads. Hosting never means "full forever". Rewards follow real demand, not emissions, and pricing self-regulates as the network fills and capacity opens up.

A node holds no content - just random data. Every upload is split into encrypted chunks, then replicated and scattered, so a host holds only fragments: meaningless on their own, unable to be assembled without the key the owner holds. 2/3
