One year after the heinous terror attack in #Pahalgam, we remember with deep sorrow the 25 innocent tourists and the brave local resident who were killed in this brutal act of violence. The attack not only targeted civilians, it also struck at the very soul of Kashmir and all that it stands for. Yet, Kashmir has remained resilient and united in its pursuit of peace, justice and the complete eradication of terrorism. As we pay homage to those we lost, we also look ahead with hope for a future free from such acts of terror.

Ghulam Nabi Azad Sahib’s vision for development remains unmatched. In just two years, he transformed the landscape of J&K with impactful initiatives. The Tulip Garden; first of its kind after the Mughal era and now Asia’s largest, has boosted J&K’s economy!

Deeply saddened by the tragic bus accident on the highway in Udhampur that has claimed 19 precious lives. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of grief. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. Authorities must ensure all possible assistance to the injured.

Welcome the ceasefire in Lebanon, a much needed step towards peace and stability. Hope all sides honour the commitment, protect civilians and move towards a lasting resolution through dialogue.

Attended the Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting on the One Nation, One Election (ONOE) Bill. ONOE could act as a natural deterrent to defections, strengthening political stability. It can also significantly reduce election expenditure and ease the burden on administrative machinery and security forces from continuous electoral cycles.

Ghulam Nabi Azad sahib was the backbone of Congress who kept the party united and helped it win many states. Congress has not been able to fill the space left by Azad sahib even today. Since his exit, the party has only weakened and lost many elections & leaders.
