@surplusmusings You observed this very late, I’m the one who finish dinner on time without waiting for couple to arrive … it’s added advantage when you don’t know anyone other than hosts 😆😆😆 (all true if you are there as mentioned timings)

Seems to be common thing, couples arriving late. The post wasn't meant to be a complaint, but just an observation. 😀 I usually try to stay off functions outside close family events to the best possible extent. So, I don't go through this often.

Had to attend a wedding reception where I knew absolutely no one other than the hosts. The card said they start at 6pm. I was hoping to get in early and get out quickly. Bad idea!

I own my <first-name><last-name> @ gmail .com email ID. It's not an uncommon first & last name combination. I get a lot of emails from banks, consumer-facing companies (retail, hospitality etc) and such junk by namesakes who seem to just enter this when they sign up somewhere! 😠
