@Jonny6x @itsEvanCC If the person they were account sharing with was cheating, then they should be punished more harshly/reset for that 100%. But abusing a 2x rep glitch, zen script, or boosting vs bots, is far far worse than just account sharing itself.
English

@WitnessGamingTW @itsEvanCC How is having someone on your account gaining rep while cheating any less harsh than someone playing starting 5 with 2x Rep? Regardless of this situation, in the post Evan released he says they received a “warning” which should not be warranted to begin with.
English

The Top REP race has been cleaned up.
Account sharing to gain an unfair advantage or undermine competitive integrity is prohibited, and we hope this makes that clear going forward.
Excited to see who will be the first (legit) Legend V!

@papa_ragu @Jonny6x @itsEvanCC I agree if the person he was sharing with was glitching, boosting, or using scripts of any kind, then yes he should be held responsible for that, but in this case he wasn’t, which is why I feel what they did was fair.
English

Titans, zen scripts, & glitches are what ruin the game for all of us. Little Timmy hopping on his account for a few hours a day playing legitimate games at the park should not be treated the same.
I see where you’re coming from, but, I think what they did today was fair. They removed the rep from the games that were played while the account was being shared, and he only moved back from L4 to L3, which clearly means on their end, they could see he played the vast majority of his games by himself, and certainly way more than all of us.
I just don’t think it would be fair for him to get completely reset over that, when we have people that were boosting free wins vs bots, & abusing titan scripts & x2rep glitches. I’ll never agree that every TOS rule broken should be given the same exact punishment. That’s why I feel what they did was fair, but to each their own.

I mean its hard for me to prove — I think 2K could prove it very easily and ban people, so I’m not sure why they don’t
I don’t care about the 500th+ rank having someone play on their account, but if @NBA2K is gonna have top 10 leaderboards, then those top 10 accounts should be legit, that’s all I’m saying
Both are issues and @NBA2K needs to figure it out
English

Thanks for confirming that Cashout and Enzo are cheaters 🤝
Wish all the cheaters were banned, but at least @NBA2K did something

We’ll have to agree to disagree on what “cheating” is then I guess. But in terms of the autogreen, I don’t think it’s hard to prove, and it’s irresponsible to continue to allow people to abuse it all the way to legend 5 and event wins with no punishments.
That’s the real thing that’s ruining the game, not some kids hopping on for a few hours a day running some games to get extra rep
English

@WitnessGamingTW @NBA2K All cheaters should be banned, I’ve been said this
Just much harder to prove Autogreen script users — but I’ve posted about this too
English

Did you read? Nobody got a “warning”? Everybody got punished. They removed the rep from ALL games that were played by the people they were account sharing with, as long as there was NO boosting, glitches, or scripts being used.
So clearly there are measurements, as there should be. Stealing an item from the store does not get the same punishment as murder.
There are always going to be rules that will be punished harsher than others. In this case, the decision they made is fair in my opinion.
That’s why the guys who were using titans, zen scripts, & x2 xp glitches got full reset / banned, as they should.
English

@WitnessGamingTW @itsEvanCC Legitimate? What? The guy on his account was cheating, regardless of it they are both TOS. They both should be treated fairly. A 'Warning' in this scenario is not warranted as again they both broke TOS. There's no measurements of how much or how little you break TOS.
English

Because it doesn’t make sense to ban someone who played over 10,000 games on their own. They clearly stated that they removed the rep from all games played by the person they were account sharing with. Cashout for example only went down to legend 3 from legend 4, which clearly shows he played over 90% of the games himself.
All rep was erased on accounts that were legitimately cheating by abusing glitches or titans, which is far worse & definitely deserving of a full ban / reset.
English

@JABridgeforth @NBA2K I like how they say in small cases all rep was erased lol why not do it to all cheaters
English

Big difference between abusing a glitch and having someone play legitimate games on your account. Ofc it will be weighted differently.
As said in the post, they removed the rep from all games played on the secondary “shared” accounts, which was the correct thing to do. Cashout for example, was legend 4 and was only reset back to legend 3, which shows that clearly he did over 90% of the grinding himself. That does not warrant a ban or a reset.
English

@itsEvanCC I’m just curious, what makes account sharing less harsh and worth a “warning” vs other individuals manipulating the double rep. I would think regardless they should all be temporarily suspended.
English

@Yaadmangaming_ Exactly. Once the game becomes hard for casuals, interest/views plummet
