Won’t engage anymore on the Ai witch hunt. Keep writing with pen and ink if that’s your gig or even rocks as I don’t care. Ai is here whether you like it or not. I am in the camp that authors should and can use Ai for grammar, spell check etc. Ps it’s the readers buying your books and most look for plot or pulse and most outside the writing world don’t give a rat’s ass either way. I would suspect the trad book industry uses Ai way more than they would even admit to.

@woofknight I grew up in a small town of about 300 people. I didn't even have to make it home by dark. I could have came home, ate dinner, and left again without a single word asking where I was going or when I'd be back. That I came back was all that mattered.

@JasonWMizer @Pennerstories I see this coming soon. Your mass publications will be written by AI because, as long as it sounds like an author they know, the reader won't care. The niche genres will still have actual writers because AI won't be able to write them.

Yeah, readers don't care if it's ai or a real author. They just want something to take them away from real life for the moment, or to titillate them. Until they come across such a horrid piece of ai slop that they might care, us real authors are competing with a machine, not a bad writer. Ugh!

If I open a drawer and there are 12 spoons and only 2 forks, even if I went there to get a fork, I'll use a spoon instead so I'm not depleting the lesser resource. And I'm constantly disappointed that nearly no one else on earth shares that mindset

My son's dad has been battling brain cancer and MS, and we got the call today that he will probably not make it through the night. I am out of town on business, so my boyfriend left work early, picked my son up, and took him to see his dad before he passes. That's a good man. 🥰

I've been reconsidering my choice of Foucault's History of Madness and might go with Scull's Madness in Civilization instead. I might also switch over to Foucault's shorter edited version Madness and Civilization and then pick up his History of Sexuality V1 as well.
