My neighbor spent about $80k on his son’s college finance degree.
His son graduated, filled out 105 applications, and couldn’t land a finance job.
Right now, he’s managing a Jimmy John’s while he “waits for a break.”
Then my neighbor said, “I’m going to introduce him to some of my friends so he can get an entry-level role.”
And it hit me.
If the outcome is still who you know, not what you studied…
what exactly did the $80k buy?

@clones_sports Looks pretty accurate. The running back room feels like the area that needs the most help.

🇺🇲🇷🇺 US and Russia in a new economic cooperation while Europe will be left to watch
Donald Trump not only wants to stop the war in Ukraine, but is also trying to build a large-scale economic cooperation with Russia similar to that with Europe.
At today's meeting in Saudi Arabia, Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said that Russia and the US separately discussed the issue of future economic cooperation and world energy prices.
Trump has several reasons for this.
Europe is already exhausted, without natural resources, with accelerated deindustrialization, without energy, with expensive production, with countless laws and regulations that paralyze the economy, and the United States has a large trade deficit with us.
On the other hand, Russia is on the rise, with the most powerful military industry, army, a huge number of natural resources and great potential for growth and development in the future.
Russia also became the largest economy in Europe last year and holds the largest industry on the continent.
Trump announced that he will succeed in separating Russia from China, which is almost impossible, but at least he will try, which is a clear sign that he and his administration are preparing to build strong economic ties with Russia.
Putin is unlikely to bite this again, knowing that the US government is easily changeable and politics can turn around overnight.
The Trump government is now publicly and openly criticizing European governments, preparing tariffs for them, wanting to take Greenland away from Denmark, etc.
Trump is not doing this because he "loves" the Russians very much, as the president has stated, but he is actually withdrawing the US plan "B", in case the war in Ukraine fails and the sanctions do not produce the desired results.
Russia has survived and overcome all the sanctions and all the weapons that NATO has been pouring into Ukraine to the maximum, drastically reducing its capabilities.
Trump himself stated yesterday that the Russian machinery (army) cannot be defeated by NATO's current military capacity and weapons production, making it clear that NATO no longer sees the military option as an option.
The US plan B is already crystal clear, cooperation and alliance with Russia like the one with Europe. An attempt to separate Russia from China and accept it into the Western world, as it has been deceived several times in the past.
Instead of Europe seizing this opportunity for economic cooperation and cheap energy with Russia that was served to it on a platter, European liberal politicians refused and inflicted such economic damage on the Union that it will be difficult for it to recover in the next few decades.
As for Ukraine, its usefulness has ended, its debts are enormous, and it is unlikely that any stable state will emerge from it in the future.

@gwendelyn_k @electricfutures @stanfordNYC @RandTaylor2 @fuckyouiquit @DOGE You stop making sense now Madam!
English

@electricfutures @stanfordNYC @RandTaylor2 @fuckyouiquit @DOGE This is what I think… yes, he’s wealthy but not wealthy enough to fund his goal of getting to Mars(nor does he want to fund it privately). He wants the govt to explore, invest, experiment, & pay for all of it. Just like Trump wants us to pay for his new real estate in Gaza.
English

After several delays, @DOGE has finally posted its purported savings. Why did it take so long to create a simple webpage with a 1000-row table? Who knows! Let's dig in.
Headline number: $55B saved. They list the savings per nixed contract. This should be easy to verify then.

It's Monday. @DOGE is the laziest, most overpaid bunch of incompetent, unelected bureaucrats we've ever seen.

@GarbageHuman24 They're both human. I don't see the problem here. Whoever chose the picture of the black woman could have easily chosen Starr, Stormy or Luhteesha from the whitebread trailer park and Iman for the black woman. The problem is being unfair with comparisons
