We are so proud of the response and the strong community spirit in the area. The incident at the park is a tragedy and our heartfelt condolences go out to all involved.

Players, members and spectators from not only WOSCC but our visitors that day Old Brentwoods and our neighbours Leigh-on-Sea Cricket Club and their opponents Redbridge CC, along with all the members of the public who did all they could in the rescue effort.

Everyone at Westcliff-on-Sea Cricket Club is devastated to learn the news about the young girl who passed away at Chalkwell Park on Saturday afternoon Our condolences and thoughts go out to the little girl’s family, we cannot begin to imagine the pain they must be going through

A few early batting shots from @WoScricket vs Old Brentwoods at Chalkwell Park this afternoon. The hosts looked on their way to a decent total when I had to leave to rejoin @CJPhillips1982 Charity Challenge.

Our First team play in the Hamro Foundation Essex League Division 2 and now we have 6 league sides in total with an occasional 7th team friendly match. We are continuing to grow our Sunday team with a record 18 games this year as well as the running of two t20 midweek sides

With the 2025 Cricket season around the corner, the club are happy to announce the start of our winter nets which begin on Thursday 13th February, 7:15-9 at Westcliff high school for boys. The club are always looking for new players of all ages and abilities.
