@WobSource The TPs cannot be compared to Chamber TP. They might look like similar abilities but they are completely different. Start thinking about it more like an Omen teleport that you can use through walls
It's a bit clunky but you can do some pretty cool stuff by chaining them together

@ale_delcele @demu1028 Fair enough. They’re talking about artists being able to import the assets without having to first make LODs. This is for the initialization not the final product but I can see how that can be misinterpreted. Regardless, studios know this is not enough. They just dont care.

@WobSource @demu1028 thats what epic sold to the studios, the ability to do not need for optimization, studios asumed this to be true and made a production pipeline based on it, it was epic fault, everybody knows it

@ale_delcele @demu1028 Studios with devs that have years of experience know that nanite isn’t perfect but refuse to do more work to save money. You just wana be mad at UE5. I cant change that. Blaming the engine that offers both methods just lets these studios take advantage of your simple thinking

@ale_delcele @demu1028 Nanite works as advertised. It’s not as good as handling LOD by hand as different styles require different levels of LOD adjustment. Again that’s up to the devs to analyze. Nanite can be used but not for everything. If devs see that farther tuning is needed they can always do it

@CringeLoser1234 @demu1028 Unreal literally offers teams to studios for the sole purpose of optimization. They have released numerous resources trying to emphasize the importance of optimization from the start rather than at the end. Studios ignore it all so they can meet quarterlies.

@demu1028 UE5 makes more ideas possible for game devs. Getting lazy and shipping a game just because it looks good is the fault of the studios. Do you think E33 would’ve been possible without modern engines giving tools to do big things for small teams?

@demu1028 How is this a UE5 issues? The engine simply introduced tech that makes it more manageable and affordable to achieve higher fidelity. Studios just use it wrong and don’t spend enough resources on optimization and prototyping. I dont get this UE5 hate accessibility is a good thing
