West #Surrey Council is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for a fresh start. But that fresh start must be shaped by residents, not by councillors who haven’t faced voters since 2021. It was shocking that #Woking people were denied the right to vote last year.

That feeling when you used to champion jury trials and now you've started scrapping them.

I’ve got a busy week ahead - watching to see what the Budget means for #Woking, visiting 4 schools as part of #ParliamentWeek, as well as speaking in parliamentary debates on safe and legal routes for refugees, taxes on glass bottles and protecting children from domestic abuse.

For the first time ever, Young Carers supporting parents with a severe mental illness will get the help they desperately need. A young carer called it "the safety net we always wished existed". So proud of @AlisonEBennett for her work with @CarersTrust.

Since cancelling May’s County Council elections Surrey’s Tories have lost all of the by-elections called - with the LibDems winning 71% of them It’s clear that Tories are running scared of the electorate👇

I’m delighted to have been appointed the @LibDems’ Spokesperson for Immigration and Asylum. This is one of the most pressing challenges our country faces, I will be pushing the Government for a system that is fair and effective - and taking on Reform UK’s hateful agenda.
