The Youth Justice Leaders met this week and explored the history of student activism: East LA Walkouts in 1968, anti-apartheid student activism in the 1970s-80s, Tiananmen Square, and the '99 student protests in Iran. Knowledge = Power!
Harlem-based journalist Kimberly Seals Allers, wants to make it easier for African Americans to navigate the health care system during pregnancy/birth. She created the mobile app Irth, which collects/shares health care reviews from parents of color.
