MORE details on US strikes vs Iranian targets today: 2 Iranian boats were caught laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, senior US official tells me. The US military eliminated both IRGC vessels and also struck at a SAM (surface to air missile) site in Bandar Abbas that was targeting US warplanes. “These were defensive strikes.” They do not indicate ceasefire is over, according to two well placed sources.

Matt Walsh has been talking a lot lately about the death of the monoculture in the United States. I agree with his diagnosis. The interesting thing is I have been all over the world and I can say from my travels this seems to be a uniquely western problem. Asian countries are as Asian as ever. Same with Latin American and Middle Eastern countries. Technologically speaking Matt lays blame at the foot of the rise of the algorithm. I agree with that to a certain extent. While most of us thought we were gaining access to the world, we were quietly and secretively being herded into digital isolation chambers where the ad revenue would forever have its captured consumers. But I would also add this: Western culture didn’t only decay because of the greed of tech overlords. It decayed because its guardians unceremoniously surrendered. The keepers and cultivators ceased to preside over and nurture their charge. I’m speaking of course of the western man. It was the western man that created the culture, constructed it, grew it, tended it and defended it in every corner of the globe from would be invaders and usurpers. He preserved its greatest triumphs and the deeds of its mightiest heroes on parchment, canvas, in stone, and on the silver screen. But not anymore. In the modern era the western man has been nagged, harassed, brow beaten and propagandized into accepting a feminine dominated and algorithmically curated culture. Now he either silently capitulates, accepts and plays his role like a good little boy, or withdraws and walks away entirely. And I understand the thought process behind each reaction. But that doesn’t change the fact that until western man re-engages and takes back the responsibility of leadership that God and nature bestowed upon him, The culture will remain dead.

Trump: We lost 13 people. In other wars, you lost hundreds of thousands of people. I get a kick when I look at somebody on television and they say, 'he's lost 13 people.'
