Always a joy to play the 1996 Marcussen organ in Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Today two pre-degree ceremony recitals (am/pm) for the @OpenUniversity and the Processional/Recessional Music, the latter of which will be #Widor’s Toccata from his fifth symphony. You may know it!

Join us at 12.15pm today for a glorious lunchtime recital featuring our own Assistant Director of Music, Nicholas Freestone, and Robin Walker who will be performing a selection of piano duets, including music by Grieg, Debussy and Warlock. What an incredible evening @OrchestreLiege ❤️ I always say that when you’re performing it’s like you throw all your energy out into the room; sometimes it’s as if the audience absorbs that energy, & other times they bounce it back to you, leaving you with more energy than you started with - this was definitely the latter! I couldn’t sleep for hours after the concert because I was buzzing so much 😂 huge thanks to everyone who came along ❤️ now dashing back to Cambridge for Evensong 😍

This Sunday 27 October 2024 at 4pm come and hear the fine Norman & Beard organ in New Road Methodist Church, Stourbridge. This is the first organ recital the church has hosted in many, many years, so I was delighted to be asked to play. Admission £6 including refreshments.
