General Election Notice: Following the Dissolution of Parliament on 30 May, the APPG on Working at Height has temporarily ceased to exist. We will reconvene after polling day (4 July).

Unfortunately I was unable to speak in yesterday's debate on Afghanistan. I thought it was important to share some of what I was planning to say in a quick video. Rest assured I will continue to do what I can for my Afghani constituents, and for those caught up in the conflict.

Sarah Newton explained that the increased remit for the @H_S_E on issues such as building safety, chemical regulations and challenges posed by Covid-19, have all received additional funding from Government and should not affect the HSE's continued focus on this work.

Helen Balmforth from the HSE said they are looking at ways in which the HSE can collect new data through technology. She says often issues arise not as a result of a lack of data but how this data is used.
