The WBO selects the Mandatory Challenger from the highest-rated available contender who best meets the organization’s established criteria, including: - An acceptable record and recognition as a Class Boxer by the WBO. - Compliance with the WBO and ABC Ratings Criteria. - If the Champion is under contract with a major broadcaster, being considered an acceptable opponent by that broadcaster.
