Season 04 of I.I.M.U.N's Recipes for Success continues, and our next guest is someone who proves that the most extraordinary journeys often begin at a grandmother's kitchen counter. Chef Surabhi Suri is a self-taught plant-based chef based in Dubai, the founder of supper club Sebzee. Her grandmother was her first teacher. So today, she paints on plates. She recently made history at the World Food Championships 2026 in the USA, being crowned World Vegetarian Champion and finishing as first runner-up overall, competing in non-vegetarian rounds as a lifelong vegetarian and winning anyway. For Chef Surabhi, food has always been more than technique. It is culture, identity, and a quiet tribute to every place and person that shaped her. Because the most powerful stories are told not just in words, but in every plate that carries a piece of where you come from.

Indian-origin chef Surabhi Suri has secured the top spot in the vegetarian category at the prestigious World Food Championships in the United States. The event, known as the ‘Olympics of Food Sport,’ attracts chefs from around the world.
