The question of pipeline integrity is so important to the build-out of pipelines for carbon capture and storage. How do we safely repurpose existing infrastructure? How do we inspect and monitor CO₂ pipeline transport effectively? And how do we make sure these pipelines remain safe and reliable for decades to come? That’s why we're very pleased that Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) is sponsoring the Integrity session at the World Pipelines - @ccs_forums on 18 March. This session will look at the technical side of the challenge, with presentations from: • Jamie Burrows, Global Segment Lead CCUS, DNV • Anthony Lowery, Project Manager, Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services • Andreas Hoyer, Global Commercial Director Protective Coatings, Teknos Group OY, and Dr Markus Betz, Salzgitter Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung GmbH/Mulheim Pipecoatings Thank you to Baker Hughes PPS for supporting this 'super-critical' part of the conversation. Calling all pipeline contractors! As carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects move from concept to construction, CO₂ pipeline infrastructure is becoming one of the most significant areas of pipeline development in the UK. On 18 March 2026 in London, the World Pipelines @ccs_forums will bring together operators, project developers, engineering companies, and industrial emitters to focus on one critical topic: how the UK designs, builds, and grows its CO₂ transport networks. Tickets: bit.ly/3JMVAvU Speakers include: Baker Hughes, Carbon Capture and Storage Association, CRC Evans, DNV, Holcim UK, Heidelberg Materials, National Gas, NECCUS, Peritus International, Penspen, Peak Cluster, Petrofac, SGN, Teknos, United Infrastructure Ltd, Wood and more. We’ll cover: • National-scale CO₂ pipeline build-out • Welding engineering, quality assurance, and integrity management • Conversion versus new-build • Cluster design and what that means for contractors on the ground • Risk-based design approaches • Lessons for contractors entering this emerging market • PLUS! Peak Cluster: delivery implications of the world’s largest cement decarbonisation project — and what large-scale industrial capture means for CO₂ transport build-out With the UK cluster model advancing – including Track 1 projects such as HyNet North West and the East Coast Cluster – the technical and delivery challenges are becoming clearer. Contractors who understand how these networks are being specified and phased will be better positioned as projects mature. The Forum offers a focused, one-day environment to engage directly with those shaping CO₂ transport requirements, and to understand how engineering decisions today will define construction activity tomorrow. 📆 18 March 2026 📍Park Plaza London RiverBank

We’re happy to tell you that Andreas Hoyer, @TeknosGBI Group Oy and Dr Markus Betz, Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung GmbH / Mülheim Pipecoatings will speak at the World Pipelines @ccs_forums (18 March, London). Their presentation will examine how internal flow coatings perform when exposed to gaseous, liquid, and supercritical CO2, including testing under realistic CCS operating scenarios. This collaborative work combines coating expertise, application know-how, and independent testing to generate data that can support qualification approaches for CO₂ transport pipelines. For operators, EPCs, and engineers working on CCS infrastructure, the findings provide valuable insight into how internal coatings behave in demanding CO2 environments — and what this means for the safe and efficient design of future CO2 pipeline networks. We’ll explore these findings during the presentation, followed by moderated audience Q&A. See you there! Tickets still available here: bit.ly/3JMVAvU 📆 18 March 2026 📍Park Plaza London RiverBank

CO₂ transport infrastructure is reshaping the future value of upstream assets. Large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) is no longer peripheral to oil and gas: it is increasingly shaping the future value of subsurface assets. As depleted fields become CO₂ storage sites, there’s much to consider concerning reservoir integrity, injection strategy, repurposed pipeline infrastructure, pressure management, and long-term liability. This one-day event focuses on the practical realities of building and scaling CO₂ pipeline infrastructure in the UK – the very networks that will connect storage licences to emitters and bolster commercial models. Speakers at the conference include: Baker Hughes, Carbon Capture and Storage Association, CRC Evans, DNV, Holcim UK, Heidelberg Materials, National Gas, NECCUS, Peritus International, Penspen, Peak Cluster, Petrofac, SGN, Teknos, United Infrastructure Ltd, Wood and more. One of the sessions we are particularly excited about at the World Pipelines - @ccs_forums 2026 is the mid-morning segment on Peak Cluster, a pioneering UK project aiming to be the world's largest cement and lime decarbonisation initiative. This session is co-located with World Cement’s @EnviroTech_Conf Conference and Exhibition 2026, which means something quite special will happen: cement producers and pipeline infrastructure experts will be in the same room. This session will give CCS Forum attendees direct exposure to the demand side of CO2 transport: the cement companies generating the volumes, facing the capture challenges, and making investment decisions that will shape pipeline routing, capacity planning, and phasing. Peak Cluster CEO John Egan will present the vision and progress of the project, and will join a Q&A and discussion alongside Tom Redfern (Head of Sustainability, Holcim) and other CCUS experts from the cement industry. In the room will be CO2 project leaders, system designers, pipeline operators, integrity specialists, cluster developers, and industrial emitters. Bringing all of these minds together – cement and pipelines, emitters and transport – creates a rare opportunity for genuine cross-sector collaboration. On 18 March in London, we’re bringing together leading voices from across the UK carbon capture and storage sector to focus on one thing: CCS pipeline infrastructure. Here’s what you’ll have answers to by the time you climb into your Uber 🚕, or descend into the tube 🚇 at the end of the day: • How does integrating CO₂ pipelines at a national scale change the UK energy system, and why does it matter beyond individual clusters? • What does it actually take to enable large-scale CCS delivery with long-term integrity? • How do industrial emitters see the reality of cluster build-out, and what do they need from pipeline infrastructure? • Are we designing today’s clusters in a way that enables, rather than limits, a future UK-wide CO₂ network? • How do we move from cautious, first-of-a-kind overdesign to genuinely bankable, risk-based CCS clusters? • What can the UK learn from international CCS transport projects? • What are the biggest infrastructure challenges facing CO₂ pipelines and how do they shape the future of CCS? • What does integrity management look like when converting existing pipelines for CCS service? • What kind of engineering leadership, policy alignment and system thinking will define the next decade of CCS pipeline development? Join us for discussion, debate and some warm hospitality, at the Park Plaza London Riverbank. Get your ticket here: bit.ly/3JMVAvU 📆 18 March 2026 📍Park Plaza London RiverBank

We’re pleased to announce that Wood will be speaking at the @ccs_forums 2026, on 18 March in London. Johan Henriksson, Product Management Lead – Operational Solutions, will present: “Bankable CCS clusters – Risk-based design and operations enabled by life-of-field digital solutions.” As the UK moves from CCS ambition to delivery, one of the biggest challenges is financial viability. First-of-a-kind uncertainty can drive conservative assumptions, overdesign, and cost inflation. Johan will explore how a risk-based (not risk-averse) approach can reduce uncertainty and improve decision-making across the CCS value chain. 28 days remaining get your tickets now: bit.ly/3JMVAvU 📅 18 March 2026 📍Park Plaza London RiverBank

We’re happy to announce that Calum MacLean, Head of Welding Engineering, at CRC Evans, will speak at the World Pipelines - CCS Forum on 18 March, in London. The delivery of large-scale CCS infrastructure presents significant technical and execution challenges. Successful CCS deployment depends on early and sustained alignment between engineering, construction, and integrity disciplines. Calum’s presentation will look at how experience from adjacent energy systems – particularly sour service and hydrogen pipelines – can be applied to CCS projects. There’ll be a strong focus on alignment: between design, construction, and integrity from the very start. We’re also delighted to have CRC Evans supporting the forum as our Breakfast Sponsor. It’s a fitting partnership: backing thoughtful, experience-led engineering and giving delegates a warm welcome (and a good coffee ☕️) as we kick off a day focused on building UK CCS infrastructure that is made to last. Get your ticket here bit.ly/3JMVAvU to hear about how careful engineering decisions, made early on, can pay dividends over the full life of a CCS asset. 📆 18 March 2026 📍Park Plaza London RiverBank

We’re delighted to welcome Chas Spradbery, Operations Director at Peritus International, to the World Pipelines - @ccs_forums, as a speaker. When putting together the speaker line-up for the World Pipelines CCS Forum, we were keen to include insight from an international project and one that has bearing on the realities of the UK projects currently in motion. This session does just that: it will offer a practical offshore perspective as the North West European CO₂ transport network begins to take shape. Chas’s presentation will focus on the design and engineering of a large offshore CO₂ pipeline, exploring the technical and operational challenges involved and how these differ from traditional natural gas systems. Through a detailed North Sea CCS case study, the session compares key design considerations for CO₂ versus natural gas, from materials and operating conditions to safety, integrity, and long-term performance. Based on real project experience, this presentation will provide valuable lessons for anyone involved in offshore CO₂ transport, particularly as similar systems begin to emerge across the UK and wider European CCS landscape. If you’re interested in how offshore CO₂ pipelines are being designed in practice, and what can be learned from projects already underway, this is a session not to miss.
