After the 2023 earthquake and its devastating impact on Syria and Türkiye, we’re restoring hope by helping small businesses rebuild #livelihoods and communities. Through @WorldVisionSR RECOVER project, and support from @WVKorea & @WorldVisionUSA , change is unfolding.

"We were struggling, then the 2023 #Türkiye earthquake took what little stability we had left,” shared Fatima. In response, @WorldVisionSR launched the RECOVER #livelihoods project, providing #job training, skills development, and #employment opportunities, rebuilding lives.

On the 3-year mark of the #Syria_Türkiye_earthquake, @WorldVisionSR Response Director Emmanuel Isch reflects on the horror of that day, and the strength of those who endured it. Thanks to our donors & partners, we’ve reached millions with urgent support. 🧡🤍🧡

Today marks the #Syria–Türkiye earthquake anniversary. Millions were impacted, pushing families already facing conflict and #displacement even further. Since day one, @wvsr has stood with communities through #livelihoods, #rehabilitation, #education, and #health.

Last week, our team and executive colleagues from @WorldVision international visited Al Tal Hospital in #RuralDamscus, witnessing its true impact. Many departments in were rehabilitated by @WorldVisionSR, supporting over 10k people through #Medical services, a lifeline in Syria.

“Mama, why can’t I go to school like the other girls?” asked seven-year-old Amal* to her mother Samia* in northwest Syria. The only response she was able to give at the time was a long, silent hug. 🫂 After the family was displaced from their home, they began living in a displacement camp. Amal was forced to pause her education for two years until @WorldVisionSR stepped in. For years, families in #Syria have struggled with food insecurity. With support from the @WFP_Syria funded project implemented by @WorldVisionSR , strengthening their ability to provide for their households. #nutrition

Over the past 5 months, #bread brought real relief to communities across #Syria. With support from @WFP , @WorldVisionSR reached 308,268 people in 323 locations, distributing 3,853,089 bread bundles. Helping keep plates full and easing daily stress. Thank you.
