@ult1mateslacker @daveleedwnundr If you look at the first movies merch. It was more on the smaller side. Yea there were toys (like very movie ever) but they never thought of merchandise when making the first movie. The sequals… well… yea

Toy Story (1995): Pixar Pioneer, OG Toy Story 2 (1999): Essential Lore Toy Story 3 (2010): Graduating us kids to the world as adults - - - the trilogy ended there. Toy Story 4 (2019) and 5 (2026), are strictly manufactured for the new generation of kids for merch + money

@fireporteryt My confusion is why baby the age this is meant for loves how they look to begin with? Toons and COTR hit the audience well, even adults were in love with it. Also this isn’t the first we have seen these characters turned to approach 1-4 year olds and they still look appealing.

they got most of the main cast back, & cars is 6-12 IP, so why this approach to a series?
kids that like Cars won’t like it bc of the baby-fied visuals, & parents wont know its *meant* for babies bc its fucking CARS
