Apologies for offence caused by my earlier tweet, which I’ve now deleted. My thoughts are - as they have always been - with Ann Widdecombe’s loved ones at this awful time.

Here’s what I’ve realised about the American athlete discourse in the World Cup: A lot of people who weren’t around for USA ‘94 have seen in the last few weeks that football is by far and away the biggest and best sport in the world - nothing comes close. But the US being really average at it compared to European nations upsets them, so it’s been a case of doing mental gymnastics to try and prove that they could be elite if the Russell Westbrooks and LeBron James’ of this world played from a young age. It just doesn’t work like that - athleticism only gets you so far when a highly technical sport like football is played in the brain first. Some of the best players in the history of the game don’t even look remotely athletic - yet you can’t get near them. My American friends: I promise you it’s okay that people from other parts of the world are better than you at something 😬

My English friend, We honestly don't care about your silly game. We just love trash-talking it because it triggers the rest of world's inferiority complex. Seriously, NFL Training Camps open this month. We've been focused on that even while the US team was in your adorable little once-every-4-years tournament. You can have your soccer. We're doing just fine without it.

I'm working on an article about my recent travels in the UK. Should be ready in a couple of days. I'm not going to lie, before arriving I was concerned about somehow being red-flagged and picked up at immigration because of my presence on X and my constant opposition to the tyranny of the UK government against its own people, and I purposely did not post anything about the UK on X while I was physically there. When I finally did leave the UK's legal boundaries I felt relief, and I doubt I'll ever go back. I've been there many times before, but something has changed. That place is gone. RIP. Yeah, I know I was maybe a little bit paranoid, but the proof is in the sheer number of arrests in that country for what we Americans consider a very basic exercise of free speech.

The sheer number of snide remarks about cheese in a can in response to this post is striking. It seems many feel compelled to mention it simply to reassure themselves of the inherent superiority of their European cheeses. Which no doubt I'm sure is true to some extent, but it's severely missing the point. Yes it's somewhat gross and terrifying that cheese can come out of a can the same way whipped cream can. But while it is about cheese in a can, it's not really about cheese in a can. It's about the sheer, glorious American instinct to look at something ordinary and ask: What if? What if we could keep cheese in that perfect, gooey, liquidy consistency - shelf-stable, ready at a moment's notice - and then invent an aerosol can to dispense it? It needs no refrigeration. You may thumb your nose down at the product but it's actually the same spirit that said, “what if we could fly to the Moon?” The invention of sprayable processed cheese is about a mindset of irreverence, optimism, and a culture that is unafraid of looking silly if it means pushing boundaries. Aerosolizing the cheese isn't easy. Any culture that can do that will start asking bigger questions without fear. What if we cure diseases with mRNA in months instead of decades? What if reusable rockets land themselves like something out of sci-fi? What if ordinary people can access computing power that once required government labs? The pretentious twats who roll their eyes at Easy Cheese simply don't get it. It’s not about sophistication; it's about agency. A people who refuse to accept “that’s just how it’s always been.” A culture that iterates, experiments, commercializes, and yes, sometimes sprays a neon orange dairy product from a can because...... why the hell not? That’s the moonshot mentality in its essence. Playful on the surface, revolutionary underneath. And it's why the European mind struggles so hard to grasp it. As long as Americans keep this fire, whether it's cheese or the cosmos, they will keep surprising the world.
Melissa Chen@MsMelChen

Been living in London for 3 years and every time I come back to the US, I have to recalibrate. When you're overseas, you tend to forget what real abundance feels like, so much so, I just stood there in the granola aisle, mouth open, brain completely short-circuited as I stared at a ridiculous wall of infinite choice. Bajillions of brands, flavors, and innovations - chocolate peanut butter banana crunch, maple pecan espresso, keto, paleo, collagen-packed, probiotic, gluten-free, protein-loaded, you name it. I was straight-up paralyzed by options. The French call it “embarras de choix” - embarrassment of choice. That overwhelming feeling when there are simply too many great things to pick from. It’s usually used positively or neutrally (the options are desirable), but the “embarrassment” highlights the mild frustration, guilt and indecision it causes. But Americans don’t get embarrassed by it. At all. Because they don't feel guilt about having MORE. It is the Land of Plenty for a reason. It’s easy to start a food company here, it's easy to build brands, and it's easy to just employ / fire people. That freedom unleashes relentless innovation and variety, feeding an unstoppable demand for better, tastier, healthier, crazier options. No wonder Europeans lose their minds the first time they step into a Costco. American abundance is a policy and cultural choice.

Interesting take here "Bully". Mox can handle himself just fine, so he doesn't need me to fight any battles for him, but if you ever have the itch to feel what it would be like to have your ass kicked so thoroughly to the point of epic humiliation, I can help you with that. I can not only "beat the shit out of you", but do so in a way as to make your ass kicking legendary. For you, any time. Just ask.
Cultaholic Wrestling@Cultaholic

Bully Ray believes he could "beat the living sh*t" out of Jon Moxley. "The Death Riders have not helped AEW in any way, shape, or form. The Death Riders are Jon Moxley playing out his pro wrestling fantasies because he's got Tony [Khan's] ear. Because he wants to be Terry Funk? I would kick the s**t out of Jon Moxley... "I'd beat the living s**t out of him. Fraud." (Source: Busted Open Radio)
