@m_bultman I hope this is a good thing for Cossa knowing that his direct competitor in the organization just signed. Hopefully he feels the pressure and it pushes him harder to get it together for moving up to the NHL.

Nothing is done but everyone sees the trends and the Wings have opened the door for the Flyers and aren’t gaining ground on anyone as of now. I hope they make the playoffs but if they don’t there are questions to be answered

@WorthlessComedy @NHLTradeAlert I was fine with the trade and excited that he showed urgency (FINALLY) but the fact is that this is blowing up in his face while everyone else that gave up a 1st for players at the deadline is in the playoffs. I’m a long time Yzerman pessimist.

@StephenSBrown28 @m_bultman Finnie has really taken a step the last 6 weeks. If they can get some weight on him in the offseason and little more skill work, especially his shot. I think we’ll see the ever rare sophomore progression from him.

@m_bultman Surprised they pivoted away from Finnie centering his own line… He seemed to play really well in the role and the team seemed to play better with him at C.

@m_bultman If this team can just get hot at the right time….once! It can happen. Need 7 of the last 10. It’s possible. A lot of teams we need to lose on the schedule. Hoping Mazur can provide a little spark down the stretch.

Of the 3 rookies that made the Red Wings' opening night roster, only Emmitt Finnie remains. Did not have that on my 2025-26 bingo card, I gotta admit.

@WorthlessComedy @HockeyWithDevin He didn’t create any offence because he played with Michael Rasmussen & Mason Appleton. Shots were 65-37 & HDCF’s 28-19 Detroit when he was on the ice this year.

@MarshaIIZach @HockeyWithDevin Not sure I would say dominated his minutes. Watching the games he never created any offense or had many chances in his recent call up. He’ll be probably be ready full time next season.

@WorthlessComedy @HockeyWithDevin He dominated his minutes when he played, and was very physical. His biggest problem is the fact that he played with no skilled players whatsoever.

@MarshaIIZach @HockeyWithDevin He will be in a couple years. We are eager but MBN isn’t there yet. Offensive side needs more time and his physical side is solid but not enough to keep him up.

Larkin seems to be moving well following his lower-body injury almost two weeks ago. It’s an optional skate. Gibson not on the ice so he’s starting as expected. Copp and MBN continue to practice. Rasmussen remains out.

@SleeperNHL Seider is the type of defenseman every team wants. His offense is developing still too. He’s using his legs and hanging onto pucks a lot more in the offensive zone this year.

I know they’re banged up, but unlike in Tampa two nights ago, this has been an especially flat showing from the Red Wings through 30+. Don’t have anything going so far.
