one of the best ways to figure out what (and where) to build next is jumping into hackathons. not just watching, actually shipping something small in the ecosystems you’re curious about. you quickly see the real state: what’s smooth, what’s painful, what’s missing, who’s actually using it. it’s stupidly high-leverage. cuts through the noise faster than anything else i’ve tried. i’m doing exactly this right now. anyone else using hackathons as exploration tools? what are you building (or breaking) in them?
