There are two forms of WBTC - native issuance and cross-chained distribution. Got chills down my spine thinking if wBTC got hit with DVN attack. That would've touched every DeFi protocol as well as multiple CEXs who store wBTC.

We are implementing upgrades to our cross-chain DVN configurations following the recent rsETH incident. These updates are precautionary and reflect our ongoing approach to maintaining robust security standards across integrations. Completion is expected by 26 April, with further updates to be provided as needed.

@WrappedBTC When will WBTC cross-chain communication be restored? My cross-chain transaction is stuck and hasn't been processed.

In DeFi, longevity matters. WBTC has been through multiple market cycles. Still here. Still used.

Following the recent rsETH incident involving LayerZero, we are taking precautionary measures to ensure WBTC users safety. WBTC OFT service via LayerZero will be temporarily paused. Service will resume once the root cause is identified and it is confirmed safe to proceed. Updates will follow.
