I’m on my way home from an epic stint at Macquarie. Everything went smoothly in the lab (this NEVER happens!), which meant I could fit in a visit to the frog conservation hero’s at Taronga zoo and hear about GGBF habitat restoration from RZS NSW. I also did a lot of snorkelling.
I'm grateful for the @UniMelb global collaboration award which allowed me to travel to @UofR and get involved in this great research on the unexpected interaction of chytrid and ranavirus.

A short review on the emergence of chytridiomycosis in Australia, and the important contribution of Queensland researchers and wildlife managers in the discovery of this disease. @jcu@OneHealthResdoi.org/10.1071/MA22056
It was so nice to be invited to attend the inaugural “Rick Speare Oration”. A great man who made an epic contribution to human and animal health. We miss him.
I'm excited to announce we have started our first large Bd-challenge study in corroboree frogs. This project has been many years in the making. We will be investigating the genetic basis of immunity in this critically endangered species @OneHealthRes@FVASunimelb@MicrobeMik 🐸🧬
