@Wrexham_AFC I have to say a massive thank you to Liam Bird from @lpftweets for attending the Wrexham AFC fixture tonight to celebrate and support our Unite for access campaign

Was saddening to learn of the relative chaos at General on Tuesday night after @HullCity when it was clear these posts had been effective and several fans requested @tfwrail PA on different platforms. Clearly plenty of security staff but not enough @tfwrail staff on duty.

The alternative to the above is showing medical and often very personal items prior to entry when bags are checked and then having to discuss in public why your bag should be admitted. Obviously many won’t want to do that and there’s no guarantee on outcomes. Thus a heads up.

Quick heads up on a couple of really important things for @Wrexham_AFC and @HullCity fans. @SwansOfficial later in the week too. Mostly for @HullCityDSA and @SwansDSA but worth all knowing…

@SwansDSA fans, if you have an exemption letter/email from your own club please bring a copy with you. If you want to play safe and get one from @Wrexham_AFC then you’ll need to contact our safety officer. Probably best done after first talking to your own DLO.

Of equal importance to ALL is that @Wrexham_AFC now rigorously enforce the rule that bags brought into the ground must be no more than A4 and see through. There are medical/personal exceptions but it’s a long way to travel for @SwansDSA fans to fall foul of this.

So for your return journey book PA and ask to be met and let through the gates to platform 4 and then accompanied to the relevant platform by lift. Hope that helps get you through the pre and post match train experience and you arrive eave depart safely.

Equally important to book PA for the journey back to @tfwrail Wrexham General as it’s always busy post match and the gates to platform 4, which also act as a shortcut to other platforms will be locked as will the main entrance in the car park.

Disabled fans should book Passenger Assistance and ask to be supported and routed past security out of the main exit rather than all the way down platform 1, out of a temporary exit and through a poorly maintained railway station car park in less than perfect light.

If you’re arriving via train to @tfwrail Wrexham General and you struggle to mobilise over distance or rough terrain then you won’t want the routing out of the railway station used for matches, which is 4x as long as the normal 3 minute walk to the ground.

Heads up once again for @SwansOfficial and @SwansDSA if you’re coming via @tfwrail Wrexham General for tonight’s match…
