I'm not gonna lie, due to X's new payout terms, I missed out on a huge payment. Kinda annoying.
Commit to a standard, make it clear, and move on.
Stop playing games with the payouts and algorithm.

Keep in mind, X has not so subtly floated the idea of getting rid of all monetization and just making money off of everyone's content.
That's probably where it's headed. It'll definitely cause a decrease in user time, especially with other platforms still paying content creators.
This is a bad call on their part, imo.

I’m not digging it lately, unless they are trying to do it on purpose, I have been seeing things get worse here for creators overall. Constantly changing things up and not understanding what the algo is trying to do is a constant headache 🤕 what do u all think? Esp all those that are monetized?

I had posts go "viral" multiple days and X throttled my payout, like, by more than half.
I get the concern over bots (which I have to mute and block all the time) but X just nuked a huge payout for no apparent reason.
All the more reason to go anonymous. I am getting Facebook vibes real fast on here.

Like Facebook, they don't want to pay content creators, outside of a very select few.
Definitely a step backwards in my opinion.
I support monetization, but don't constantly play games with the requirements every pay period. People are going to stop signing up for something like that.

I get the motivation, but this is still extremely vague.
X is about to go the way of meta with monetization where is basically all up in the air as to whether you'll actually get paid or not, no matter how well your posts perform.
I get the spam concern, but X can't even control the bots everyday, I have a hard time buying that they will be able to accurately determine every single post for it's individuality.

All aggregators had their payouts reduced to 60% this cycle. We will add another 20% deduction in the next cycle. It became abundantly clear: flooding the timeline with 100 stolen reposts and clickbait everyday crowded-out real creators and hurt new author growth. The next step is to assign a permanent deduction to habitual bait posters who use “🚨BREAKING”on every post. X will never infringe on speech or reach—but we will not compensate for manipulation of the program or our users.
