Hi Crime Watch, I was passing through the Redcliff turnoff near the new hotel, Zhongjin International Hotel, and I was very concerned by what I saw. I had stopped to refuel at Rockodox Service Station when a group of young people arrived. They looked between 17 and 24 years old, both men and women. I asked them where they were coming from at that time, as it was around 2:00 AM. They told me they were coming from work at the hotel. I then asked where they were going, and they said they were going home. Some said they stay in Rutendo, Simbi Park, and Redcliff. What worried me is that it was already 2:00 AM, and they are expected to be back at work by 6:00 AM. They are not given transport to and from work, yet they have to walk at night in unsafe areas. This is very dangerous. What if they are attacked or harmed? Please expose this inhumane treatment.

Good day. I would like to kindly ask you to post this. On 9 February 2026, my cousin’s 7-year-old daughter was electrocuted by a changing room door at Bhola The Mega Mart in Tynwald, Harare. She suffered serious internal injuries, including cell lysis, and doctors said she is now at risk of acute kidney injury. She was admitted to Mazowe Pediatric Hospital for three days. During that time, she was put on a drip to help remove damaged cells, given medication to control her pulse, and later referred to a psychologist for trauma counselling. The total medical costs were around $500. The shop only paid part of the hospital bills and is now refusing to pay the remaining balance. This is not just about the money. We want to raise awareness about how unsafe the shop is, especially for children, and the lack of responsibility shown after such a serious incident.

@DailyNewsZim This will affect many businesses as it will be hard to restock and pay for other overheads. Recently, city Council introduced water meters to move away from billing in the local currency. We need reforms that speak to each other.

A month ago my friend borrowed me R200. His child’s birthday party was a week ago so instead of giving the money back, I used it to buy a gift for his child. Apparently he still wants the R200 back, I’m shocked 🤯
