The night halls of rehab can echo with nameless cries. As one who has raged in fury, I get why on reflection metaphor applies: identity doubles incoherently yet necessarily. One has no choice: one stuns oneself into otherness. As Z points out there’s no music in it.

Physical Therapy: attunement of the body to its given task. We do all manner of mindless routines stretching and sharpening faculties needed for return to life. We may catch the expression of the emptiness of things in a face committed to the routine, as in a mirror. W&M.
