11,265 women and youth have been so far supported to access Agri business loans with Equity Bank and the program is still ongoing to support more women and youth. World Relief celebrate access to finance for the underserved.

We’ve impacted lives through programs in economic development, WASH, family strengthening, agriculture & empowerment of women & youth. And today, we proudly handed over these initiatives to local churches & local leaders to let them continue advancing sustainable change. 2/2

For 7 years, World Relief Rwanda has empowered churches in @ZAZASECTOR1 , @karembo_sector & @Mugeserasector1 in @NgomaDistrict equipping church leaders, local government leaders, volunteers & program participants with skills to drive development and lasting change. 1/2

They’re gaining valuable insights into women’s roles in agribusiness, connecting with leaders from key agricultural institutions, & showcasing their work at the exhibition. She Can project empowers women from 19 Districts in partnership with @WFP_Rwanda_CD and @RwEquityBank 2/2

#SheCan Series #5 Women are taking the lead in planning & decision-making. Youth are building financial independence through savings groups. Persons with disabilities are overcoming barriers and thriving. We implement this project in 19 districts with @WFP_Rwanda @WFP_Rwanda_CD

We implemented different programs to change the lives of program participants around economic development, child development, family strengthening, improved agriculture, and livelihood initiatives, all with the goal of improving the overall well-being of communities.

Today, World Relief Rwanda officially handed over the activities implemented in partnership with local churches in Gashari, Rugabano, & Rwankuba Sectors to local leaders of @KarongiDistr & Church Network Committees (empowered, local church-based structures).

By improving access to clean water, we are not only protecting health—we are also: ✨ Saving time for women and girls ✨ Supporting women's education and economic opportunities ✨ Promoting women's safety and dignity When we provide clean water, we empower women.

This year’s theme: “Water and Gender” reminds us that Water access is linked to gender equality. In many of our communities, women & girls carry the burden of water scarcity, walking long distances to fetch water, & caring for children affected by unsafe drinking water.

World Water Day 2026 | Water & Gender 💧 At World Relief, we believe that access to clean water is a basic need and a pathway to dignity, health, and empowerment.

SheCan Series #4 Savings groups help women to access finance. Women were trained in business management. Women gained confidence to start projects that improve their families’ livelihoods. We are doing this in 19 Districts in partnership with @WFP_Rwanda @WFP_Rwanda_CD
