A very busy day so far in the beautiful sunshine. We've visited many Commonwealth cemeteries and are now on our way to the German cemetery at Langemark @wyvernstedsdofe

Our first proper stop: Thiepval memorial to the missing of the Somme. Students were interested to see some of the names of the more than 72,000 men commemorated here. @wyvernstedsdofe

It's a beautiful day for a ferry ride! We've arrived at Dover in plenty of time to make our crossing, even time for a cup of tea 😁 @wyvernstedsdofe

On our way to Belgium as the sun rises. (This may be a brand new coach but it's certainly picked up some bugs in its first 3 weeks of duty!) @wyvernstedsdofe

Yesterday at the Menin Gate ceremony we had the privilege of laying a wreath on behalf of @wyvernstedmunds

I need to apologise for 2 things: 1. Your children's shoes stink 2. They may now all be demanding salami and cheese for breakfast as this has been a surprisingly big hit with the students! @wyvernstedsdofe

A very busy day so far visiting the Passchendaele museum, Langemark cemetery, New Irish Farm and many others. We're about to have dinner then head into Ypres. @wyvernstedsdofe

We've all enjoyed a lovely breakfast and have just visited Lijssenthoek Cemetery where we saw the grave of nurse Nelly Spindler, as well as Chinese labour corps workers, and a recipient of the VC. @wyvernstedsdofe

Lochnagar crater, created by British miners detonating huge amounts of explosives underground to blow the top off the hill. @wyvernstedsdofe

We've arrived at Dover! Waiting for the ferry. It's a beautifully sunny day so we'll have a lovely calm crossing. 🚢 @wyvernstedsdofe

What a brilliant day in Disneyland Paris! Not much time for photos as we were too busy having a great time. Everyone is ready for bed now and our last night in Paris. @wyvernstedmunds

We decided we hadn't walked up or down enough steps today, so added another few hundred before a lovely dinner. It was worth it so see the beautiful Sacre Coeur Basilica. @wyvernstedmunds

After climbing 674 steps up the Eiffel Tower we felt we had earned a restful cruise up the River Seine to see the city from a different angle. It's rather hot today! @wyvernstedmunds
