🇬🇧 Harinderpal Athwal, 41, has been jailed for more than 11 years after mounting a pavement, killing a husband, seriously injuring his wife, and then driving over the victim a second time in Birmingham.
The 54-year-old husband died at the scene, while his wife suffered life-changing injuries.
Athwal, who was disqualified from driving, struck the couple on Soho Road in December 2025 and fled the scene.

A Lanarkshire 'webcam model' with a 'designer vagina' has appeared in court accused of bestiality after videos of her engaging in sex acts and intercourse with an XL Bully dog were shared online and viewed by thousands.
Stephanie Watson, 35, was charged after reports were made about footage of the alleged incident being circulated on social media.
Members of the public reported the clips to police and an investigation was launched.
Watson, of Lanark, faces allegations she had an 'unnatural connection' with a dog at an address in Bellshill between June and December 2024.
Graphic footage shows the webcam model on a bed wearing a pink crop top with a grey Xl Bully type dog and committing sexual acts on the dog including full sexual intetcourse and oral sex acts.
