Today is the day Abraham was ready to sacrifice his son Ismaheel on God’s command. Not Isaac. Ismaheel. The first son. The son many try to erase from the story. Funny how history gets rewritten when people want the blessing, the covenant, and the legacy to pass through their own bloodline. But Muslims have never hidden from it. Every year, we honour Abraham, the father of faith, by sacrificing a ram in remembrance of a man who was willing to give up what he loved most for God. Truth does not change because later generations became uncomfortable with who the story was really about.

@MasterMaliq In everyday scholarship, whenever there are disputes, you rely on the more ancient documents. The Bible record of Isaac and Ishmael is at least 2,600 years older than Islam itself, whose Quran was closed just about 100 years ago in Egypt. Untill then it kept being edited

@MasterMaliq @SamuelAyodele_T God never regarded Ishmael, a son of a concubine, a product of human strategy. God spoke to Abraham about the son He had promised him. Isaac. Ishmael was a forgery, son of a slave

And yet the same “earlier text” says Abraham was told to sacrifice his “only son” at a time when Ishmael was the only son born to him. That contradiction is exactly why people question the narrative. You see covenant through Isaac. Muslims see the test through Ishmael. But pretending there are no historical or textual tensions in the story is dishonest.

@MasterMaliq Pure deception, the Bible had written that it was Isaac that Abraham was about to sacrifice. Muslims came later to alter that record in their book, 2,600 years later. Isaac is the progenitor of the Jews. Ismael "a wild donkey of a man" birthed the Arabs. You guys are forgers!

Why Isaac, Not Ishmael? Today, Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha, believing it marks the moment Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son Ishmael. But this narrative, recast centuries later by Muhammad, hijacks the original account and distorts it. In the Bible, the foundation of both Jewish and Christian traditions, the son on the altar was not Ishmael, but Isaac. Ishmael was the result of human effort, Abraham’s attempt to fulfill God’s promise through his own performance, through Hagar, Sarah’s maidservant. It was a solution born out of impatience and control. But God’s redemptive plan was never about what man could do for God, it was always about what God would do for man. Isaac was the son of promise. He was born not through human scheming but through divine intervention. Sarah was barren. Abraham was old. His very existence was a miracle. Isaac represents grace, God doing the impossible, fulfilling His covenant not through man’s effort, but through His own power and faithfulness. The apostle Paul said that Hagar, the mother of Ishmael, represented Mount Sinai, where the law was given, a symbol of human striving, condemnation, and bondage. But Sarah, the mother of Isaac, represented Jerusalem above, freedom, grace, and divine sonship. Ishmael is law; Isaac is gospel. If God had asked Abraham to offer Ishmael, it would mean He was demanding a sacrifice born of human effort. But He wasn’t. He was foreshadowing the ultimate sacrifice, Christ, the Lamb of God, also born of a miraculous promise, also offered by His Father on a hill. Isaac was the prototype of substitutionary atonement. He symbolized the Son not born of the flesh but of the Spirit, God’s initiative, not man’s. To replace Isaac with Ishmael is theological vandalism. It exchanges grace for works, divine election for human performance, and the gospel for law. That’s why Isaac, not Ishmael. Because salvation was never meant to begin with our striving, it was always meant to begin with God’s promise.

Isa Ali Pantami’s story is truly a great lesson and example for all of us. A respected Islamic scholar with countless old lectures criticizing politicians, condemning politics, and discouraging scholars from accepting political appointments, yet later became DG of NITDA and Minister of Communications. The same man who once prayed and cried for the downfall of PDP and Jonathan has today become a politician himself. After losing out in APC, the same PDP he once insulted came to his aid with a gubernatorial ticket, and today he contests under the PDP platform and under Goodluck Jonathan. Indeed, wonders shall never end. May Allah never test our Imaan beyond what we can bear.

@KR3Wmatic i knew that eating Shawarma was illegal and immoral but I was craving it. I also didn't want to set a precedent. Surely I didn't want my followers to take a cue and start eating Shawarma. I had to design a device - a fine, clever one with a cloak of the divine. . .

I have received a lot of messages from Christians telling me to accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. But here is the thing... I already accept Jesus. I respect him. I believe in him. I see him as one of the greatest messengers God ever sent. But I cannot worship Jesus when Jesus himself worshipped another. I cannot call Jesus “God” when on the cross he was calling upon God. Afraid. In pain. Facing death. The God Jesus prayed to... The God Jesus submitted to... The God Jesus called “my God”... That is the One I accept wholeheartedly as my Lord and Saviour.

There's a video on the timeline today of a Palestinian man weeping over the body of his dead 6-year-old daughter. She was killed in an Israeli attack on a tent. There is no ceasefire. There was never a ceasefire. And they have never stopped slaughtering the children of Gaza.

@MasterMaliq Sinlessness in a free moral agent and divinity are the same. Or can you argue against that? Nobody can Angels are not free moral agents. They have their will locked to only what they must do. Humanity bestows agency which angels don't have. You know any other sinless human? No.

Jesus was sinless... but that does not make him God. Angels are sinless too. The Quran says Jesus was a righteous servant, protected from sin, just like other prophets. If being sinless equals God, then every sinless prophet and angel would be God. That is honour, not divinity.

“Free Palestine.” I grew up on those words. In Lebanon, most people around me wanted a free Palestine for a very practical reason — to send the Palestinian refugees back. The civil war that tore my country apart was ignited in no small part by the Palestinian armed factions who turned Lebanon into their launching pad. “Free Palestine” meant: free us from them. In Damascus, where my father’s family lived, the sentiment was different but equally self-serving. Palestine must be returned to the Arabs, its righteous owners. No one asked follow-up questions. No one was expected to. Palestine was central to Islam, most Arabs are Muslim, therefore supporting the Palestinian cause was reflexive. A non-brainer in the most literal sense — no brain engaged at all. Nobody stopped to point out that Palestine is not an Arabic word. Nobody found it strange that Jerusalem, the supposedly third holiest city in Islam, is not mentioned once in the Quran. Not once. Nor is Palestine. The entire theological and political architecture of this cause rests on a foundation that their own scripture doesn’t bother to acknowledge. What was actually happening was indoctrination. A systematic, generational rejection of Jewish sovereignty — and frankly, of any minority sovereignty. Jews, Christians, Druze, Kurds, Assyrians, Yazidis — the Arab world has been remarkably consistent in how it treats people who are different. We just don’t talk about that. Instead, in the West, we talk about Palestine. In the West, a civilization that has elevated human rights to its highest moral currency, the Palestinian cause has become the one exception to every rule. In the queue of human suffering, Palestinians cut the line every time. Homosexuals executed in Gaza and hanged from cranes in Iran? Palestine first. Women imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for campaigning for the right to drive — a right they were denied until 2018 — girls sold into marriage in Afghanistan, women erased from public life entirely under the Taliban? After Palestine. Political dissidents ground into dust in Syrian and Egyptian prisons, journalists disappeared in Libya, children starving in Yemen while their rulers wage proxy wars, entire populations hollowed out by hunger in Sudan? All of it waits. Christians ethnically cleansed from Iraq and Syria, the Arab world methodically emptied of every Jewish community it once held — a demographic erasure carried out across a century with surgical patience and near-total Western silence? Palestine is still first. So let’s end where we started. Free Palestine. Which Palestine, exactly? The Roman invention? The British administrative line? The British Mandate covered the entire territory of what is today Israel, the West Bank, Gaza and Jordan. In 1921, 78% of that mandate was handed to the Hashemite family — a dynasty imported from Hijaz in present-day Saudi Arabia — and became the Kingdom of Jordan, which it remains to this day. A foreign royal family, on the majority of historic Palestine, ruling it as a monarchy. Nobody protests that. No flags, no chants, no encampments. The remaining 22% was designated for the Jews, became Israel, and is the only part that any pro-Palestinian activist has ever had a problem with. So when you say Free Palestine, you mean that 22%. You mean the Jews. And free it from whom? From a people with a three-thousand-year-old documented presence in that land, to restore the glory of a name coined by Roman colonizers, a name lifted from the Torah, a name that has no roots in Arabic, no mention in the Quran, and no history as a sovereign state? You are not chanting for liberation. You are chanting for colonialism — the Roman kind, repackaged for social media. Free Palestine is not a cause. It is a colonial term, coined by invaders, recycled by the indoctrinated. The least you can do is have the intelligence to understand it and the decency to reflect on your position. 📍#Israel
