Giving Doan a POHO or VP title and pairing him with a first time GM could work and sell in this market. They should look at someone like Pridham. Nightmare scenario is they pair him with Treliving again but they can't be that stupid.

I like Manny. But let's not pretend like swapping Foote for Malhotra changes this roster. They're a 32nd place team next year regardless of the coach. If the argument is "they need to lose like this" and Manny is part of that recipe, cool. Let's hire Malhotra and watch them "lose like this". It's a shitty position though for any coach or GM to step into. I guarantee you they won't be the coach/GM when this team is finally good 4-5 years from now.

Foote is likely gone. But why the outrage over Foote not being fired right this minute? Name another 1st year #Canucks coach that was inserted into such a terrible environment. We can compare Foote to Willy D, but Willy had a number of 1st class vets to work with. Foote was given chicken shit and somehow expected to make chicken salad, chicken soup, chicken gumbo. What other Canucks coach has been dealt a hand like this? Foote may not be the answer, but he's low hanging fruit. This is going to be a ~30ish place team for 3-5 years. Regardless of the coach.
