The era-bias of the NYY retired #’s is pretty staggering. The #Yankees won 14 pennants & 10 WS pre ‘45, but only 4 players of that era have #’s retired: Ruth, Gehrig, JoeD, Dickey. These 4 #HOFers spent all or majority of careers w/ NY & aren’t honored. *Not my Top 4-more to come
