Analog in 2026. A man approached me while I was having a solo meal. It was a short convo because he went back to his table once my food came. He actually sent this to me through the waiter first instead of interrupting my meal. I looked up, he came over after I was finished & I told him, “I appreciate the gesture but I’ll politely decline. Nice touch though.” He smiled, we still talked for a bit, he even paid for my meal. The whole interaction just stayed easy. No DM, no Instagram handle exchange. Just a handwritten note, eye contact & a real world approach. Effort and composure like that are refreshing. Someone tried, someone declined & people behaved like humans. More moments like this.
