Can we please stop pretending Rodri doesn’t belong in the same conversation as Busquets? Rodri offers far more. He has the very rare ability to run a game and clamp an entire midfield on his own. Busquets had an exceptional understanding of space/tempo. But he can’t do what Rodri can.

It’s time to get Rodri out of “GOAT DM” debates. We all know he’s better than Busquets. We need to start having serious conversations about where he stands amongst the greatest midfielders of all time. Does Rodri sit with Xavi, Iniesta, Modric, De Bruyne and Gerrard? I think so.

How do attackers decide a game if they don't get the ball enough then? Can their midfielders hold the ball? Can their midfielders actually create? Are their midfielders good at the sport?

Look at France. I genuinely don't get the obsession with spending big on midfielders. Sign elite attackers & pair them with a midfield that's simply good enough to control transitions and stop counterattacks. That's the winning formula. Games are decided by attackers.

@free__flowing I have not really seen enough good things on Bouaddi as regards to breaking the lines, long passes etc. For me, he is mid on the ball.
