To be very honest, in 2021, some days go by, to eat once a day was so hard, and even when I eat, it will most likely be garri, rice was a luxury, I was trading as at that time but there was no direction, it all seemed impossible to become successful. I was laughed at, I remember one afternoon in school I was to buy a girl a gift and deliver it to her on her birthday, and the reason was that she was the one that helped me with food for days, so I emptied the small money which I got from my pastor for drugs cause I was sick 😂 to buy her a gift, I wore my regular shirt and trousers, and boom guys started flooding into my room, we were 8 guys in a room on a normal day, but this time they flooded the room in numbers, they asked where I was going, and I told them to deliver a gift, men…. I was mocked, they sat me down and called me all sort of names, imagine the whole hostel on your matter, I felt so ashamed, they called me a pussy, saying I had no money to eat and I want to gift a girl, over 20 guys in that room that day, they didn’t know that the person I wanted to gift actually helped my life a lot and that gift was nothing but a way to show that I appreciated her, one even called me a failed trader. I picked my shame that day and still delivered the gift and told my self that, it will be the last time anyone will look down on my effort and fast forward today, not only am I a blessing to my friends but to my family and community. This is a sign for you not to give up.
