🇬🇭 🇦🇪 He came with a bottle and the colour of the acid was just like water… he opened it and just splashed the acid on me.”
— Alex Deglee, a Ghanaian man who was previously based in Dubai but is now in Ghana, says the incident started after a misunderstanding over a 20-dirham balance from a 120-dirham debt, following a card game argument that escalated. He further claims the situation turned violent when his roommate allegedly attempted to attack him with a hammer and threw a stick at him before later carrying out the alleged acid attack in December 2023.
He is calling on President John Dramani Mahama and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to intervene.
“I support paternity DNA tests 100%. I don’t know why women don’t support it. The rate at which paternity fraud is occurring is alarming.”
— Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the NDC, Dzifa Tega, has voiced strong support for mandatory paternity DNA testing in an interview, saying she is baffled by women who oppose it and believes the measure is essential for fairness toward men

@SIKAOFFICIAL1 Very useless contractors, would you have built your own house with this energy? You travel with slay queens to enjoy good roads with proceeds from the Contract. Terminate the contract now!! @KAgbodza
“This is unacceptable. Don’t accept anybody who says he is NDC or NPP, we are not doing party politics here. We want to build lasting and durable roads for Ghana “
— The Minister of Roads, Hon. Governs Agbodza, has urged the Bono Regional Minister to oversee the contractor working on the Techiman-Sawla project after his visit to the site with his team, where they witnessed the slow pace of work.
The minister expressed his displeasure with the progress made, despite the government having already paid GH¢66.3 million for the project.
@NigeriaStories South Africa belongs to South African citizens not illegal undocumented foreigners from all over Africa nor the world. We will fight until there is no illegal undocumented foreigner in South Africa. This is our country not the government.
@Xavi1666@weloveghana042@RealOlaudah I know of an American who has stayed more than 10yrs in Ghana. Migrating to the other country to stay has never be a crime. Stop this shallow and demeaning mindset…
If Ghana had good jobs, fair wages, strong systems, and the government made the right policies, no one would travel to another country to look for greener pastures.
The South African woman telling the Ghanaian man to go back home is, in a way, speaking the truth — let him go back home. Why don’t people like the truth?”
— A Ghanaian woman on xenophobia tensions in South Africa.
@Emmanue88135534@weloveghana042 Masa she dey talk about the rate at which citizens are migrating for greener pastures in other countries. It’s getting out of hand and we are losing our value to these westerners
@weloveghana042 Do you know what is sense. Do you think mtn could stay only in south Africa and make it only there. Life is balanced and not everyone can stay hear and make it. She is speaking nonsense. Is not about creating jobs. What if they create the jobs and the money is not good.
@EroOcean@weloveghana042@RealOlaudah They are here temporarily, mostly for work and short stay entertainment. They don’t overstay like what most of us do in other countries.
@weloveghana042@RealOlaudah Very foolish talks. There are different people from different countries living in Ghana. Chinese, Lebanese, Americans etc all stay here. That doesn’t mean their country is not productive or developed. It’s foolishness to think that when your country is developed, you won’t travel
