Today we welcomed the second premiership football team to train on our grounds this season 😉 The Melbourne Football Club made use of our vacant grounds and facilities (with a few starstruck staff watching on!)

There were a few teary eyes at this morning's drop-off ahead of the Year 12 VCE English exam 📚 As a sign of appreciation for being such a positive influence in their sons' education, boxes of cupcakes organised by the College were given to Year 12 parents 🧁❤️

It's official! Congratulations to our 1st XVIII Footballers who have won our first APS Football Premiership since 2003. The group built an amazing culture and work ethic throughout an extraordinary season. Our many thanks and congratulations to all students and staff involved 🏉

Did you know that fruit contains antioxidants and vitamins which help us deal with stress? 🍎🍌 While we're unable to be together in person, hopefully this simple fruit box, sent out to staff and students' families, will help remind us to stay safe, stay healthy and be kind ❤️🖤

Today our Boarding community will face off in a footy scratch match representing their local clubs and areas 🏈 From the St Mary’s Football club in Darwin to the Hay Lions in NSW, the students send their love and support to all parts of the country struggling with the pandemic ❤️

Our 1st XVIII footballers had a memorable six point win at Scotch College today 🏈 The boys wore black armbands for two family members who had recently passed away and also honoured Gary Rosewarne, our long-time College curator who sadly passed away last week.

@DrJulieAMiller Hi @DrJulieAMiller, we’d just like to confirm that the young people exercising today were members of the Xavier College Boarding community in their ‘boarding bubble’. We consider exercise to be more important than ever for their wellbeing. All COVID protocols are being followed.

Some parents suggested the sports practice at Xavier may be boarders. Fair point. I have deleted the post so as not to bring unfair attention to these kids. I sure hope they are right and it’s not as awful as it looks to see 30 people at sports training in lockdown.
