Xavier was named Best Private School in the Best of Hartford 2024 Awards, a reflection of the enduring spirit within our walls. It's a testament to every student who’s walked our halls, every teacher who’s inspired them, and every family who’s believed in the mission of Xavier.

At the chemistry Olympiad on Thursday, the Xavier sophomore team won the High School level of competitio! Congratulations to Jacob Morris, Jack Musial, Netham Nakandala, Andrew Thonakkara, and Nate Tompkins!

On Thursday, more than 100 members of the Class of 2030 walked onto campus not as visitors, but as future Falcons. They shared a meal, played games, and started building the kind of friendships that last longer than four years. Welcome to Xavier, Class of 2030!

Today, we were honored to welcome The Most Reverend Richard F. Reidy, Bishop of the Diocese of Norwich, to campus as we celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph. Bishop Reidy joined us for Mass, visited classrooms, and spent time with our Campus Ministers.

On Tuesday, the Middletown Police Activity League and officer Matt Bloom ‘04 hosted a three-point contest for our students! Congrats to Tyler Johnson, Noah Jones, and Matt Pantani on finishing in the top three!

Today we partnered with the American Red Cross for a blood drive. Thanks to everyone in the Xavier community for donating. 52 units were collected!

Through the leadership of our Student Activities Council and the generosity of Xavier families, more than 4,000 toiletry items were collected for the St. Sebastian Church Outreach Program. These donations will be used to assemble Blessed Bags that will be distributed this Easter

Pi Day may have been Saturday, but Mr. Gargano made sure the celebration continued today in AP Calculus. Students in his class were treated to small pies as a sweet tribute to the mathematical constant π. Because at Xavier, learning is always better with a little fun mixed in.

Last Thursday, students in Ms. Bishop's Biology had a lab where they extracted DNA from strawberries!

Last week, members of the Class of 2027 took part in our Annual Junior Retreat. It is an integral part of our students’ spiritual journey at Xavier. Our Falcons gained valuable leadership experience and strengthened their bonds outside of the classroom.

Last night Patrick Pluck was recognized by the Wadsworth Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. He was one of 6 students from various high schools presented with the Annual Good Citizen Award to Seniors of Greater Middletown High Schools.

Congratulations to Sean O'Sullivan '26 on being named a National Merit Finalist! Sean is one of approximately 15,000 students nationwide, which represents less than 1% of high school seniors across the country, to earn this distinction! We are incredibly proud of Sean!

This past Saturday the Model UN team traveled to BC High School! Ethan Taylor earned the Peoples' Choice award for his work in committee while our freshmen team members Matt Diaz and Braeyden Zupnik saw their resolutions pass committee.

Students in Ms. Bishop’s Intro to Physics & Chemsitry class competed in the 2026 Falcon Grand Prix! Students had to build rubber band propelled cars using previously learned physics concepts!
