Here are the losing attempts trying to go long. The 2nd attempt looked like the break, and I wanted to trail my stop-loss up quickly after crossing $120-$130, but price came back down super fast. Not easy to react in that situation.
In hindsight, I could've taken Ws in between both of those trades. Just never easy to know how things will play out in the moment.
Just a super frustrating day overall.

@MaferdCapital @antibearthesis When I’m starting doing consistent payouts I’m gone put for my kids schg every month and that’s it
English

@antibearthesis Starting to invest from the ATHs is actually way better than waiting for a dip, lol.

Uncomfortable truth:
Waiting for a crash is one of the worst investing strategies.
Zoom out on the S&P 500.
That “terrifying” 2008 financial crisis everyone fears?
It’s a tiny blip.
Markets spend WAY more time going up than crashing.
Miss the climb, and you lose far more than you “save” by timing a dip.
While people sit in cash waiting for the perfect entry, the market just keeps climbing.
The biggest risk isn’t a crash.
It’s never getting in.

First Ever 10K Month!
4 years in this game.
4 years of doubt, losses.
4 years of blown accounts, starting over.
Lots of ups and downs. But it is finally paying out!
10 payouts. $10586 --> 🏦
All from Topstep. Thank you @Topstep @MichaelPatak
I’m proud.
Not just of the result,
but of the person I had to become to get here.
And most importantly. I’m grateful.🙏
For the journey.
For the lessons.
For every setback that forced me to grow.
Stay humble.
Stay disciplined
Keep learning.
This is just the beginning.
444 shows me the way🍀

@MaferdCapital Shit. Took 2 payouts. Lost 2 accounts.
Allways the same mistake. Oversized

How was your April, fam?
I only traded four days this past month due to my instability with my private life. I’m still trying to recover though.
It’s funny how all this happened after my best month ever, lol. But I love it tbh, it makes you realize and learn a lot of things about yourself, which is the most important aspect, if you ask me.

every day you have to remember this
the market does not owe you anything
there will always be something you could have done better...
held longer
re-entered cleaner
trailed wider
sized bigger
exited later
that line of thinking destroys traders
could have
would have
should have
none of that pays you
trading is preparation
execution
management
that is it
focus on the process, not the outcome
yes, some days the market will give you a big move and you will feel like you left money on the table
good, get used to that feeling
because the traders who last in this game are not the ones trying to squeeze every last dollar out of every move
they are the ones who can walk away
walk away on a losing day
walk away after a missed trade
walk away after breakeven
walk away after a small win
walk away after taking profit too early
that is real power
most traders come into this business thinking they will just catch big R moves every day, every week...
so they force trades
they overtrade
they chase
they try to make the market pay them back
and that is exactly how they blow up
yesterday I closed a trade too early, it kept running without me
maybe I could have made more
maybe I could have re-entered
doesn't matter
the mistake was already made
the job after that is not revenge
the job is acceptance
PROCESS > P&L
this game gets very rewarding when you stop trying to win every dollar and start building a process you can trust for years

The buffers have been built
3 months of disciplined trading
Once all 5 are above 2k (1 account has $25 left), I will take a little off the top of all of them

How I pass propfirm evals that are 2 day pass (50% consistency)
Let’s assume a 50k account with $2000 drawdown. Not everyday you will hit all your trades so I give myself three chances, dividing my drawdown by 3 which gives me a DLL of around $660.
1. Scalp my way up to $500 with small size, I either make the $500 or I stop at -660 for the day
2. If succesful, I then risk the $500 I made in a single trade to make another $500 to bring the total up to 1k profit, if I lose the $500 trade then I repeat step 1 until I’m either back up to $500 profit or hit the -660 DLL
3. If my total profit is 1k, I then risk the 1k profit in a single trade to make the remaining $500 which would bring up the total to $1500 which is needed to pass the eval in 2 days and respect consistency. Repeat step 1 if failed.
This is MY way of passing evals, not saying you need to do the same. I’m saying how I do it, my pass rate is pretty high

B) The 1s and 2s
In the ShitShow model, the 2 is always formed first, even before the 1
This is when price takes out a breathing room
The 2’s job is to take out the 1 (which is located at the high before the 2 in this image, where the green and red line meet)
Does it take out the 1 all the time? Of course not
But then we’re getting into failed 2’s, which is a whole other story…
