This is not a surprise or particularly revelatory, but have heard the Red Sox are, in fact, involved in serious trade talks all over the place when it comes to adding to the positional player group.

@Jared_Carrabis I mean there is just a point where they outbid every team no matter what. The Mets offered him 4/220, like what are they supposed to do offer Kyle Tucker 80 mil a year? It’s ridiculous. That doesn’t excuse teams like the Sox refusing to go above a certain threshold

I just need to keep reminding myself that I don’t hate the Dodgers. I hate all the other owners for normalizing an unwillingness to commit to winning on the same level as the Dodgers have.

I'm 90/10 on them adding a big bat of some sort because they absolutely have to. That's the focus now. But I've gone from hearing "pitching is on back-burner" to more of "they're still active on pitching"

According to @alexspeier, the Red Sox are unlikely to pursue a top free agent SP after acquiring Sonny Gray, knowing also need to spend big on a bat. They will take “an opportunistic approach” to adding to other parts of the roster, including a possible trade for a #2 SP.

I don’t know how anyone can watch postseason baseball and think anything other than trading Devers was a horrific, pathetic mistake that set the Sox back tremendously.
