For those that don’t know, I am one of the managers at my local movie theater. Lately I’ve been having a rough time and even considering leaving my job because of how stressful it’s been. But with the last few days of Mario, I have seen so many families and kids coming in, so excited to see this movie and just to be happy to be in a theater that it has literally rejuvenated my passion and brought joy back into my work.

Another extraordinary Super Mario statistic. Our movie themed merchandise sold at our theatres has become very popular, and we often sell out. Expecting that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie would be a huge success, for AMC Theatres in the U.S. we ordered more than 500,000 themed units for retail sale, a massive and far bigger quantity of movie themed merchandise than we previously had ordered for any other movie since October of 2023 (we also ordered huge quantity for our 2023 movie Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour). In just the first three days, we already have sold more Super Mario themed product than for any other movie since Taylor’s concert film in 2023. Indeed, through only Friday, we already have sold about two-thirds of our total available inventory. Star Fox being promoted in *OFFICIAL* art for the Mario Galaxy Movie is not a spoiler. It’s no different than Wart also being shown pre-release, or Donkey Kong & Mario Kart being featured in pre-release material for the first movie. This is marketing, guys. Don’t overthink it.
