This paper is part of my @CareerUna4 project AFFECTANCE at @UCMccinf. I want to thank @DioVicen for the conversation when this paper was just a mere idea, the participants at the Roma 3 workshop on Pragmatism and Enactivism and MoCS members with whom I discussed this paper (8/8).

In a very Kantian way, I finish the paper by offering a connection between affordances and habits: "Habits risk being blind without affordances; affordances risk being clumsy without habits" (7/8)

My paper "Unfulfilled habits: on the affective consequences of turning down affordances for social interaction" has been published at PhenCogSci The intuition behind it is that not acting upon inviting affordances has an impact on future behavior (1/8) link.springer.com/article/10.100…
