✨📢 Our study is now published! 🧬 Baseline vitamin D status and short-term supplementation were significantly associated with pathological response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, highlighting the interplay between nutritional, inflammatory, and tumor-related factors in breast cancer. 🩸 Markers of systemic inflammation, including CAR and AIP, were inversely associated with treatment response, underscoring the clinical relevance of host-related biology in therapeutic outcomes. 🎯 Together, these findings support vitamin D as a clinically relevant and potentially modifiable predictive biomarker in the neoadjuvant setting. 🔔 New study alert! ➡️ Ectopic fat patterns in PCOS differ between hospital-referred and unselected populations. ➡️ Hepatic fat associates with hyperandrogenemia, while pancreatic fat reflects metabolic dysfunction, independent of BMI. ➡️ These findings highlight organ-specific fat patterns in PCOS, with recruitment setting as an important factor. It was a great experience to participate in the 15th International Gastrointestinal Cancers Conference (IGICC) in Belek–Antalya, one of the leading GI oncology meetings in our region. I had the opportunity to contribute to the Hepatocellular Carcinoma Tumor Board with a multidisciplinary HCC case presentation, and to deliver an oral presentation on our recent work. The scientific discussions and clinical insights shared throughout the meeting will undoubtedly enrich my daily practice. Another highlight of the congress was meeting three outstanding figures in GI oncology: Dr. Ahmed Kaseb, Dr. Richard Kim, and Dr. @ILSONDavid . Hearing their perspectives on hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal cancers was both motivating and intellectually rewarding. My sincere thanks to Dr. @DenizCanGuven1 for his continuous support and mentorship, and to Prof.Dr.Şuayib Yalçın and @DrSahinLacin for organising this exceptional meeting and for their leadership in GI oncology.
